Academy CEO Bill Kramer to Receive Leadership Award at Tokyo International Film Festival

Academy CEO Bill Kramer is scheduled to make his first trip to Asia later this month to attend the Tokyo International Film Festival's 39th edition, which runs from October 26 to November 4. During the festival, Kramer will be presented with a leadership award recognizing his contributions to the film industry.

Kramer will also participate in an onstage summit with Toho president and CEO Matsuoka Hiro for a public conversation. This dialogue between the heads of two major film organizations highlights the growing collaboration between Hollywood and Japanese cinema.

The festival continues to strengthen its position as a key platform for international film exchange in Asia. Kramer's visit underscores the Academy's increasing engagement with global film communities beyond its traditional Western base.
