Anurag Kashyap and Vasan Bala Present Mumbai Cab Thriller 'Aakhri Ride' for Halloween Release

Indian filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Vasan Bala have boarded the short thriller "Aakhri Ride" as presenters. Written and directed by Vijesh Rajan and Yashoda Parthasarthy, the film unfolds entirely during a Halloween night cab ride through Mumbai.

The project marks a new release for Oh Short Flips, a YouTube channel curated by Kashyap dedicated to showcasing short-form content. The platform will distribute the film globally on October 31, aligning the release date with the story's holiday setting.

By leveraging a direct-to-digital strategy on a curated channel, the team bypasses traditional festival circuits to reach an immediate international audience. The collaboration highlights a growing trend of established filmmakers using accessible platforms to champion emerging talent in the short-film space.
