Bangkok-based sales company Diversion has acquired worldwide rights to "The Ink-Stained Hand and a Missing Thumb," the debut feature from director Yashasvi Juyal. The film recently premiered in the Proxima Competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, marking its introduction to the global festival circuit.
Produced by Uttarakhand-based Silvercord Films, the movie is set to screen next at the Singapore International Film Festival. There, it will make its Asian premiere as part of the Asian Feature Film Competition, continuing its run on the international stage.
The acquisition positions Diversion to handle the film's distribution strategy across all territories. With festival play underway in Europe and Asia, the sales agent will now seek further festival placements and commercial deals for Juyal's first feature-length project.
