Dogwoof Acquires International Rights to TIFF Opener 'Rapinoe' and Pakistan Oscar Entry 'Hanging By a Wire'

Dogwoof has boarded international sales for 'Rapinoe,' the documentary that opened the TIFF Docs program at the Toronto International Film Festival last month. The London-based company acquired rights for all territories excluding North America, positioning the film for global distribution.

The distributor also picked up worldwide rights to 'Hanging By a Wire,' Pakistan's official selection for the International Feature Film category at the upcoming Academy Awards. Both titles are headed to MIPCOM in Cannes, where Dogwoof will shop them to international buyers.

These acquisitions reinforce Dogwoof's strategy of targeting festival-launched documentaries with strong commercial and awards potential. The company's MIPCOM slate now includes two titles that have already generated significant industry buzz on the festival circuit.

This brief draws on reporting from Deadline.
