MK2 Films has secured international sales rights to short films by Brady Corbet, Kleber Mendonça Filho, and Céline Sciamma. The acquisitions were announced during the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon, which runs alongside the International Classic Film Market.
The Paris-based company is expanding its catalogue of lesser-seen works by established filmmakers. These early shorts offer distributors and programmers access to formative pieces from directors who have since earned major festival recognition and critical acclaim.
The deal underscores growing market interest in the complete filmographies of auteur directors. MK2 Films will now handle licensing for theatrical, festival, and platform distribution of these titles worldwide.
