Sundance and Islamic Scholarship Fund Announce Fourth Building Bridges Fellows

The Sundance Institute and the Islamic Scholarship Fund have selected the fourth cohort of the Building Bridges Fellowship, a program designed to amplify stories from U.S. Muslim filmmakers. Funded by the Doris Duke Foundation, the initiative provides each fellow with a comprehensive package of financial grants, creative mentorship, and career development support.

A central component of the fellowship is the Building Bridges Artist Retreat, which will take place at Duke Farms in New Jersey. The retreat offers the selected artists a dedicated space to develop their projects and build community with peers and mentors in an immersive environment.

The partnership between Sundance, the Islamic Scholarship Fund, and the Doris Duke Foundation aims to address representation gaps in the industry by investing directly in emerging and mid-career talent. The program continues to expand the pipeline for Muslim storytellers working across various formats and genres.
